CHALLENGE TROPHIES

One challenge per trophy per club per season permitted. Holders at start of season cannot place a challenge. All challenges to be played on holders green. Play must commence week of 20 October 2025 with the last challenge before the 31 March 2026. All games thereafter must be played within a fortnight of challenge due.

Note: play stand down period occurs between 14 December 2025 and 5 January 2026.
Winners of each Challenge Trophy must inform Bowls Southland after each Match


Arranging of Challenge
Holder contacts challenger within three days of becoming the holder and arranges a suitable time and date for next challenge. Two date options to be provided with variance i.e. Tues 10.00am, Thur 5.30pm, Sun 10.00am - challenge must be played within 14 days of date of becoming holder. If a challenge date cannot be agreed by the holder/challenger - holder retains trophy and sets up challenge with next Club in draw. If Green conditions don’t allow play - challenge for following week to be arranged.
